Great Speaker/mic review by C M on 4/23/2016I used this product for my Motorola MJ 270r radio. The manufacture claims total of 6 feet long but really its only 3 feet long. Radio reception is good. Need extra 2 feet of cord.

the plug that connects mic to the radio is poorly designed and often comes unplugged from radio. when this happens you miss the transmissions. it happened to me in the field while hunting and it almost got some one hurt. didnt expect such a poor design from motorola

We use the mikes for our jobs & also on weekends to communicate from Camp to Camp. They are great because we still have 2 hands free for doing our job. They make the transmition a lot clearer. You don't have to find the button to talk on your radio. We have been looking for these for over a year in Nova Scotia. My son found your sight & we are very pleased with them. [...]

These single pin mics/speaker worked out great for us as we could keep the radio out of harm's way and just have the mic clipped on. The clip itself rotates on a as-needed basis. I only wish there was a waterproof cover available (or just be waterproof!) as we had to use a snack size ziplock-type baggie for that.
