We run a campground with lots of staff. We purchased 10 radio sets (20 radios) to last perhaps 3 seasons. We are really rough on our equipment. I liked the over all feature set of the radio (GXT740) and specifically liked tough design and strong belt clip. These radios worked great right after they had their first full charge, but the problem is that they would routinely dropped off their transmission range from miles to feet after only weeks of use. Staff 200 feet away could not hear our transmissions. We ended up throwing 5 sets away so that the 10 sets are lasting us only one season. One aspect of these radios is that Midland orders X amount from china under one model nbr123, sells them, then orders another bunch built under model nbr456, etc. The GXT740, GXT750, GXT760 etc all have the same guts in them and should be reviewed as a class of bad radios. Don't waste your money. Buy a better quality radio.
