Uniden MHS-550 Marine Radio
The Uniden MHS-550 Cobra Marine two way radio is a hand held, compact, professional quality VHF radio. The MHS-550 provides 2-way communication using the 14 FRS channels with 142 privacy codes that reduce interference from nearby FRS units. The Uniden MHS-550 is an all aluminum construction and is designed to meet the highest rating for water resistance. The MHS-550 is rated at JIS8, allowing the radio to be submerged in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes without damage.
The Uniden MHS-550 lets you boost the transmitter power from 1 Watt to 2.5 or 5 Watts for added transmission distance. The MH-550 allow access to standard AM and FM broadcast bands and to monitor aircraft-to-ground transmissions (108-137MHz)
The Uniden MHS-550 has the ability to scan memory channels, weather alerts, and triple/dual watch.
