Great way to use the HT in the vehicle
Fit perfectly on my Baofeng UV-5R V2+. Provides plenty of power to use the radio in high TX mode. Coiled cord is long enough to place the radio where I like in the vehicle without having to deal with looping up a straight cord. I do use a remote mic with the radio.
Works Well
Works perfectly with the BF-F8+ as a car battery eliminator. Unfortunately, I'm having problems using it with the BF-F8HP on 8W transmit power; when I let go of the PTT, the radio shuts down and then starts back up. It seems like I'm getting a voltage spike as soon as I stop transmitting, triggering the radio's voltage-protection circuit and causing it to shut down when I release the PTT. Still, it works great on Low / High power for 4W HT's -- no real complaints there!
Good for sitting in the car
It works well, but the cord is too short. It is only good if you are an arms length from the outlet.
