TriSquare Review From Popular Communications

Popular Communications, an industry publication, has just published a review of the TriSquare eXRS radios! The author of this review, Bernard Bates, does a fantastic job - producing the most in-depth review of the TSX-300 thus far.

The following excerpt details the features that Mr. Bates liked best about the TriSquare TSX300.

There's a lot to like in the TSX300 (see Figure 2), and its many features make it an exceptional price/performance value. It's clear that much thought went into the design of this radio and its accessories. Following are some features I particularly liked:

  • Exceptional communications privacy
  • No interference from other users
  • Advanced technology made easy
  • All accessories included
  • Geek/coolness appeal
  • Good ergonomics
  • No license required
  • Non-volatile memory
  • NiMH or alkaline batteries

I would like to thank Popular Communications for publishing this detailed review. I would encourage any radio enthusiast out there to subscribe to this fantastic publication.

Update: Popular Communications ceased publication in 2013 and is now called CQ Magazine.

We use these radios on the ranch here in Colorado. My wife and I are license amateur radio operators (extra) and hate to tote our nice handhelds around while working. We bought two 2- packs of these for us and the two ranch hands. They surpassed our expectations. We talk on a regular basis daily, which amounts to a 8 mile range around the ranch & property surrounding it with no issues. The audio is clear and the batterys last almost all day (they could improve the batterys though) We reccommend these radios and have, to ranch folk and others who need secure communications, and our local Sheriff's department checked ours out and ordered some for their Swat team!! All in all they are great radios with nice features priced just right.

They are free to use, and get about 1-2 miles range.

    Excellent review!
I learned a lot. I would say that TriSquare is set to totally change how consumers communicate via two way radios.
I've decided to no longer purchase GMRS radios and let my license lapse in 2 years. eXRS fulfils all my needs and more!
    TriSquare is a winner!
