Colorful radios and paint cansI can not say anything about it yet, but we have some rather exciting news here at Buy Two Way Radios. Must be good, must not tell anyone yet, must be good.

Until then, a new, fun thing you can do with your radios!

We often get people looking for radios that are not all black and grey. While my predilection for a long discontinued certain yellow radio is obvious, we have a few others that are currently active products and that have a bit of color to them as well.

For instance, the Midland LXT630X3VP3 has a yellow faceplate, the Midland X-TALKER T31VP two way radio has a red faceplate, the Midland X-TALKER T51VP3 is a bit orange, and the Midland X-Talker T10X3M comes in three different colors, yellow, orange and blue. Plus, you can buy all three in one pack.

Some are available in multiple color options, such as the Wouxun KG-S65G GMRS radio, KG-S88G Plus GMRS radio, KG-Q10G GMRS radio, KG-Q10H amateur radio and KG-915G GMRS radio with Bluetooth.

Those are just a few of the radios we have that are more than just traditional black.

Another thing you can try, some legacy radios, such as the old Motorola Talkabout series, have a faceplate that can be removed. This means you can paint it to any color you want!

If you do decide to customize your radio a bit, just make sure you only paint the removable parts and keep paint away from buttons, speakers, and microphones. A light coat of paint works best and helps avoid interfering with how the radio operates. The goal is to add a little personality to your radio, not turn it into a permanent science experiment.

Another simple way people personalize their radios is with colored lanyards, belt clips, or small labels to help identify which radio belongs to whom. This can be especially useful if several people in a group are using the same model radio. A quick glance can tell you which radio is yours without having to check the channel or settings.

Two way radios are practical tools, but that does not mean they have to be boring. Whether you choose a model with a little color from the factory or decide to customize one yourself, adding a bit of personality to your gear can make using your radios even more fun. And who knows… maybe by the time you finish customizing your radios we will finally be able to tell you about that big news we mentioned earlier.
