Motorola DTR700 video

Commercial tier radios do not have many license free options, so when a manufacturer offers one, it's kind of a big deal. The Motorola DTR Series is one such option, and these 900 MHz radios eventually became fairly popular choices through the years for businesses, and even some consumers.

Not long ago, Motorola replaced the DTR650 digital radio with a new model, the DTR700. So what's new and different with it? We're glad you asked.

This video produced by Buy Two Way Radios is a brief introduction to the Motorola DTR700 license-free digital commercial two way radio and an overview of its features.

Hi Duane, the DTR700 is not an amateur radio. It is digital, but it is not DMR. As stated in the video, it is a license-free radio and operates on 900MHz frequencies. It is aimed at business users, but can be used by anyone. No license is required. It is a new radio. It is not a new service.
