Buying a GMRS radio is easy. Buying a license to use one is, well, a bit more challenging and not much fun at all. Not to worry. You can do it if you know how to navigate the ridiculously archaic and unnecessarily convoluted FCC web site. That's easier said than done.

In this episode of Radio 101, Tommy shows you how to apply for a GMRS license by using the FCC’s Universal License System (ULS) website. It isn’t a simple process, so pay careful attention! If each step is followed correctly, you should receive your GMRS license from the FCC within a few days.
