President Introduces the WALKER IV FCC AM/FM CB Radio

President Electronics has introduced the next evolution of one of its most popular full-size CB radios. The new President WALKER IV FCC builds on the success of the WALKER II and WALKER III with a couple of thoughtful upgrades that enhance everyday operation while retaining the classic front panel layout that drivers have trusted for years. The WALKER IV is now available from Buy Two Way Radios.

Like its predecessors, the WALKER IV is designed for drivers who want a traditional CB with dedicated controls instead of navigating through layers of menus. It operates on all 40 CB channels with both AM and FM modulation, provides 4 watts of output power, and includes NOAA Weather Channels with Weather Alert for keeping track of changing weather conditions on the road. RF Gain, RF Power, Mic Gain, Automatic Squelch Control (ASC), Talkback, VOX, Public Address capability, and President's Automatic SWR Meter continue to make the WALKER series one of the most feature-rich mobile CB radios in its class.

The biggest changes arrive in the new convenience and customization features. The WALKER IV introduces Glow Mode, allowing users to configure a separate display color and brightness specifically for nighttime operation. The radio features a seven-color multifunction LCD display, programmable Emergency Channels, pre-configured P Channels for quick group communications, and Scan Skip for bypassing unwanted channels during scanning. These additions make the WALKER IV more versatile while preserving the straightforward operation that has made the Walker series so popular.

President also includes its noise reduction capability into the radio. The WALKER IV features Noise Reduction Circuit (NRC). Combined with ANL, Noise Blanker, and HI-CUT filtering, the radio is designed to reduce background noise and improve voice clarity in noisy mobile environments. Antenna setup is also easier thanks to the built-in SWR Meter with audible tuning tones and adjustable SWR Protection.

Another welcome addition is the front-mounted USB-C charging port, capable of charging compatible smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices. The WALKER IV also supports both electret and dynamic microphones and includes external speaker, PA speaker, and optional VOX microphone connections for greater installation flexibility.

For current WALKER owners, the new model isn't a complete redesign so much as a refinement. The WALKER II established the platform with modern features in a classic full-size CB. The WALKER III added FM operation after the FCC approved FM for the CB service. Now the WALKER IV continues that progression with improved display customization, expanded channel management, enhanced noise reduction, and a couple of quality-of-life improvements that make daily operation even more convenient. It is an update that keeps everything people liked about the previous models while adding features that modern CB operators will appreciate.
