This antenna is built very sturdy and the performance has been fantastic. I have it tuned for GMRS. Great range ,great price.

Great antenna
This is an excellent antenna. It performs well and provides low SWR. It is tunable; just follow the provided instructions and tune to the frequency needed. An outstanding performer. Highly recommend this antenna with a quality NMO base if you need a tunable antenna.
Excellent GMRS antenna after tuning
The antenna includes a cut sheet that indicates that the antenna is tuned for 450 MHz as shipped. My antenna analyzer exactly agreed with the uncut configuration. I used the information on the cut sheet to get to the center of the GMRS band. The measured SWR was about 1.8 at this point. Not ideal but well within the tolerance of my radio. I used a hack saw and a bench grinder to get to the right resonant frequency. The antenna was about 15 feet above the ground in open space. Easily done. Recommended.
