The microTALK Cobra CXT400 two way radio is a great entry level radio. The CXT400 has a maximum range of 22 miles in ideal conditions (up to one mile in urban conditions). With 22 GMRS/FRS channels and 121 privacy code you have the communication options required in todays two way radios.
The CXT400 has some great features including VOX hands free operation, 10-Channel NOAA All Hazards Radio,scan feature, selectable roger beep, and a key lock.
The CXT400 uses rechargeable led-free NiMH batteries batteries and a wall charger. The desktop charger wall adapter is able to charge one radio through its speaker/microphone/charge jack. With a backlit display, call alert, and auto squelch, this is a great value radio.
