This model includes a detachable antenna for portability, but is compatible with long range or vehicle antennas from Cobra. It is equipped with a DC vehicle power cord, but can also operate on 9 AA batteries or a Cobra rechargeable battery pack.

I would buy this item again.
Don't really understand how to use this item and only purchased it just in case of storm and we get stuck in our storm shelter. Hope (l) we do not get a storm where we have to use it and (2) if we get a tornado hope it is of some use to us--prefer #1.

ues it on the highway mostly 95,bought it at ta truck stop,works good needs an external antenna made well.
Great Handheld
I use this CB when I go 4x4ing with my Jeep club.I also bought the magnetic antenna and the adapter for the antenna. I put the antenna on the hood and it does not move, even when driving fast. I highly recommend this setup.
