The Cobra Marine MR-HH425LI-VP offers up to 5 Watts transmit power on VHF and GMRS. The MR-HH425LI-VP has 88 marine channels and 15 GMRS channels with 121 privacy codes (GMRS only).
The Cobra Marine MR-HH-425LI-VP is both rugged and compact. Weighing only 8 ounces and designed to meet JIS7 standards; allowing the radio to be submersible for 30 minutes in one meter deep water, the Cobra marine radio is truly an all terrain radio.
This value pack includes the Cobra Marine MR-HH425LI-VP two way radio, swivel belt clip, wrist strap, rapid charge desktop charger, and rechargeable Lithium-Ion Polymer batteries (can operate on 6 AA batteries).

Excellent radios - very satisfied
Very good range and battery life. I tested the MR HH425li on GMRS in a hilly terrain, with big differences in altitude, trees and other obstacles. I got a reliable 12-13kms. With a little more static, I could still understand the other person at 15.5kms. It would probably do a few kms more on VHF but that's marine and illegal on land. I did not test the "submersible" claim and probably won't. I also did not test the radios on open water since I don't have a license yet. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and quality. I estimate a realistic 50kms+ in an open field with no obstacles.
