The Midland 1001z features an LED channel display, full-sized micropone with front panel locking connector, PA capability, RF gain control, a digital power meter, squelch control and speaker jacks for PA and external audio. A good choice for a "Basic" cb.
Midland designed a dependable "Basic" cb for a fair price for around town communications. It is useful for traveling, but keep in mind this is just a "Basic" cb. There is no weather band or ssb. Just 40 channels. I suggest that Midland ADD the 10 NOAA bands to their 1001z cb's Without Increasing the Price. I'm sure your profit margins would increase due to the good reputation Midland has maintained over the many years they have been in business.
