The LXT-480 is also a weather radio, allowing you to tune in to local NOAA weather channels. The LXT-480 can even provide weather alerts when severe weather is entering your area. The LXT480VP3 supports hands-free (VOX) operation. Other features include channel scan, water resistance, selectable high and low power modes, silent operation, an industry first 3 year warranty, and is certified lead free.
