I love the price, quality, and easy to use features about this radio. it holds a charge well, but I have not checked the range. The scan frequency option allows me to pick up transmissions pretty well.
This is an excellent product for the money. Found this unit has good range for use on the coastal waters of Maine and to other personal crafts. Took a litte time to set up and understand the various functions.
The unit has good audio but other than that difficult to navigate between channels, weather and channel 16. Scan mode is poor. Good price but I got what I paid for.
I USE THE RADIO FOR HUNTING WITH FRIENDS. I LOVE THE EAR BUD AND MIKE. IT LETS ME HEAR WHAT MY FRIENDS ARE SAYING WITHOUT TAKING A CHANCE OF THE WILDLIFE AROUND ME HEARING AND RUNNING OFF.
Nice size, easy to carry when hiking.
Cumbersome radio to use.
Good radio for small sailboat.
My brothers-in-law and I bought our radios for use on our boats. However, when we went to hunt moose this fall, we have used in our respective towers to communicate with us. It was really easy to communicate and we are very satisfied.
I use the radio on the Tennessee River/Waterway. It has good voice quality, easy to charge and has a decent transmit/receive range . Worth the money. No problems to date (about 1 year). Would buy another one.
Radio is compact with excellent range and battery life. Had my doubts about auto squelch, but it works flawlessly. great product for under $60. Only 2 concerns so far, won't transmit while charging. And lock feature doesn't really lock anything but the monitor/scan button, up down buttons don't have a function until menu button is depressed anyway. Overall it works great and is priced right, plus it comes with all the accessories(chargers, headset, etc)
Would be great if it was totally waterproof, but water resistant works.
