If you have existing Motorola radios, compatibility should not be a problem. While designed specifically to replace the Spirit GT series, the Motorola CLS series is compatible with all Motorola Spirit professional two way radios, including: Spirit M-Series, Spirit GT, Spirit HP, Spirit Pacer, and Spirit S-Series.

The CLS series is great for many applications. For example, it's very common
to see these radios used by hotels, restaurants, retail stores, and medical offices.
They're also great for on-site event coordination and are popular with caterers, photographers and wedding planners.
Yes. Right out of the box channel 1 on a CLS1110 talks to channel 1 on a CLS1410.
Both models support the same 56 frequencies, and you can assign a different frequency to
your channel if necessary.
The CLS series has support for 56 UHF frequencies (listed in the manual, on the Downloads tab above). If the frequencies of your existing radios
are on the list, then the CLS series is compatible. If you're not sure of your frequencies, then contact us! We're familiar with lots of radios, and
have probably worked with your current radios before! Worst case, you can send us a radio and we'll read the frequencies from it (for free)!

Yes. Radios that use business frequencies like the CLS series require a license. A license covers your business and is good for 10 years.

No, the CLS1110 and CLS1410 are analog radios. If you're interested in a digital radio that is similar in size/build, check out
the Motorola DLR1020 or Motorola DLR1060.

Perfect for us!
The radios have been perfect for our needs. The only drawback we've noticed is the use of them inside. If one of us is in the Jr/Sr. Cafe (hospitality room) and the other person is down on the otherside just outside the gym (approx. length of fb field and width too)we cannot hear each other. We just commuinciate thru each other relaying info if we need to do so.

Perfect for communication in our restaurant!
The Motorola Cls is a perfect for our communication in our restaurant, our building is about 8,000sq feet and you can hear perfect in the whole building even if you are in the walkin cooler! The sound is perfect, the only thing I would say is that they are a little bulky but other then that they are perfect for the growth of our teams communication.
