The Midland GXT2050VP4 builds on the GXT1050 and adds some features of its own to bring you the best in GMRS two way radios. Like its counterpart, the GXT2000, the GXT-2050 supports 22 standard FRS/GMRS channels and 28 extra channels. Each standard channel supports 142 privacy codes to give you a total 3124 channel options to filter out unwanted conversations. Midland's Xtreme Range claims up to 36 miles in optimal conditions (typically 2 miles or less in urban conditions). Built-in NOAA weather channels and weather alerts keep you informed of changing conditions where ever you go and the Weather Scan feature keeps you tuned in to your local weather channel for the latest severe weather warnings in your area. HD dynamic audio is loud and clear. The GXT2050VP4 also features Midland’s Whisper Mode, which allows you to whisper into the mic and still be heard.
