The Midland T71VP3 is an X-Talker Series two way radio with up to 15 hours of battery life and some exciting extras! With 22 FRS channels plus 14 extra channels, advanced weather technology with weather scan and weather alert and 121 privacy codes, the T71 gives you the X-tras you need to get on the air. It is also compatible with other FRS and GMRS radios for extra exciting communications.

The T71 features a backlit LCD display, 5 call alerts, monitor mode, silent operation, and keypad lock. It also features e-Vox voice activation with 9 levels for extra control, HI/LO settings for extra power management, and Rapid Recharge for an extra 3x faster charging. It operates on rechargeable battery packs (included) or 3 “AA” alkaline batteries (not included), providing dual power options as you need. It has a built-in micro USB port for charging directly to the radio and includes a USB wall charger.

These are the best Two Way Radios. I bought these because, I wanted to have the ability to communicate with my neighbor who, doesn't want to get a FCC Radio License. I wanted these Two Way Radios to talk to the GMRS radio that I have and it works perfect. So now, with these Two Way Radios, I have the ability if the cell phone goes out, I can communicate with my neighbors.

Great little radio. Very good speaker volume for traffic areas (which we use them for). Reasonable range on low power to conserve battery life. We utilize these radios during 20-30 degree times of year and find the included rechargeable batteries to be ok. They will need recharged after each lengthy usage at these temperatures and from our experience, a good alkaline battery will outlast by 10x. Some of our alkaline batteries lasted all week while the rechargeable was only several hours. Your result may vary. For size, I highly recommend this radio.
