An immediate improvement over the rubber duck that my radio came with. Signals are much stronger and audio is very clear. Hitting repeaters miles away with no issues. A+++

I originally purchased this antennae from a different vendor and quickly discovered that it didn't screw all the way down and the washer that was included didn't help. A friend told me about BuyTwoWayRadios and I subsequently bought another. What a world of difference. The antennae fir with no problem and seems to make quite a bit of difference. Channels that I was only able to barely get now come in clearly. Thank!

The Nagoya 771 showed significant improvement in both transmitting and receiving over the "Rubber Duck" antenna that came with my Baofeng BF=F8HP.

Got this for my UV5r.....much better than the one the unit came with.

Got this for my second UV-88 radio. The first one has a NA-701 antenna and this NA-771 will give me coverage in any situation.

The Nagoya antennas are great antennas in my opinion. Every bit as good as comet or diamond for 1/3 the price.

Have 2 of these on 2 different radios. They work very well, and are solidly constructed. They are genuine, unlike alot of fakes out there. Buying from these guys is how you eliminate that possibility.

This antenna is a great bang for the buck.

I purchased this to get a little extended range on my BF 8h 82c hand held radio. I seems to work a little better than the stock antenna but is a little long for every day carry. I get pretty good performance out of my stock antenna but carry this when I am out and need a little bit better coverage or sometimes ant home when I want to reach a little farther then the stock antenna will.

Recently purchased a new Alinco HT dual band radio, but was rather disappointed with reception and transmission abilities. I have read may reviews of the Nagoya antenna, so I purchased one. Wow, what a significant difference. Reception is crystal clear and I can transmit much longer distances. I am totally impressed with the product.

This is a significant improvement over the mini-duckie that came standard with the Baofeng UV5R.

Solidly built and a good tight connection with my Radioddity 510 dual band HT. Twice the performance of the antenna that came with it.

I purchased this antenna to replace the stock radio antennas on my Wouxun KG-UV9D Plus HT. From my experience it has increased the TX/RX quality on the radio and is a nice little addition. At 15.6" it can get in the way more then you would expect, but it is definitely worth having.

Works about the same as my stock Yaesu ducky.

Got the BNC version, works great on my Baofeng HT. (using a SMA Female to BNC male adapter ).

Tested with my homemade field strength meter and it was much better than stock.

Improved the receive and transmit range of my old Radio Shack HTX 420 handheld and fit the SMA connector perfectly: no need for the gap gasket.

Exactly what I hoped for and expected. I would buy again if I had to replace it.

I've used this antenna on a Wouxun UVD1P and a Baofeng UV-82. I've tried it in my basement, I've tried it outdoors working both near and distant repeaters, and I noticed absolutely no improvement over the stock antennas on these two radios. I spent several hours working with this antenna, switching back and forth with the stock antennas. I really wanted to like it, but there is just no reason to buy this antenna if you have either of the two radios I have.

I put this antenna on my Baofeng UV-5RA before I was licensed to transmit, so I can't compare it with the rubber ducky that came with the radio except to say that RX seemed better with the Nagoya. On that radio I can reach a repeater some 60 miles away. That speaks for the radio and the antenna. There seem to be many knock-oofs out there; I think this is genuine.

This antenna improves the overall performance of any dualband 2m/10cm portable HAM HT or police scanner guaranteed. I am very happy with the product as it is an original Japanese quality product built to quality Japanese standards.

I use it on Baofeng UV-5R+ & I can access a repeater full quieting that I could not access with the stock antenna.

Doesn't perform any better than a UV-B5 Antenna on a UV-5R.
