The Uniden GMR2875-2CK is an impressive two way radio designed for outdoor enthusiast. It has an advertised range of up to 28 miles in optimal conditions (typically less than 1.5 miles in urban conditions). This radio offers three nice features that are somewhat unique: auto channel change, group mode with direct call and caller name display, and it is so waterproof it floats. Auto channel change will update all radios in your party to a new channel to help reduce interference. Direct call allows you to communicate privately with one specific member of your group. The individual receiving the private message will see the caller’s name on the display of their radio.

The GMR2875 meets JIS7 waterproof standards, this means it is rated to be submerged in up to three feet of water for 30 minutes and not be damaged. Even better though, it is designed to float.

Note: In order to make the radio watertight they do not have the accessory jack found on most radios. Headsets and other common accessories will not work with this radio.

The Uniden GMR2875CK supports all 22 FRS/GMRS channels with 285 privacy codes. It also supports NOAA weather channels and NOAA weather alerts, meaning you can be alerted if severe weather is entering your area.
