For Hunting Hiking
My company provides security for university campuses. I purchased the Vertex VX-261 to use at our Tampa, FL campus. I tried them out first at our Knoxville, TN campus which has four levels. The clarity was fairly good at approximately 1/4 mile away with several tall buildings and a lower elevation parking lot between radios. I wish it had been a stronger signal considering the terrain and distance. In Tampa, FL, the campus is a typical block and metal stud one level complex. In addition, officers patrol an off site parking lot approximately 1/10 mile from campus. The radios work perfect in the flatlands of Florida, and pretty well at the Knoxville, TN location.
Provides communication channel for supervisors and management in manufacturing facility.
Used by electric linemen.
excellent product - does exactly what I was told it would do , have used less expensive big box store models in past that did not work and would not hold up , so far these seem to be a great product would buy again for sure
AWESOME HELP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
Have 6 of these that we use on a 30 acre salvage yard. They work great
This is the 3rd time that I have purchased this product. We primarily use the radios to communicate within departments. We also have distributed radios to the administrator and the director of nursing in our nursing home. We have a 3 story commercial building with a maximum distance of 500 feet and we experience no degradation of signal at all. We have also been able to communicate with someone a half-mile away.
Radios used for communications between class rooms and on going events through out the church facility,
Just to communicate with F.M. Staff
My coworker and I communicate better with the two way radio than our CB radio.
Great radios, work fine in a 200,000 sq ft manufacturing facility with internal concrete walls etc.
