I've tried both versions. I wasn't happy.
I purchased this for use with my 1000g.
I really wanted to like this microphone. Unfortunately the volume and quality from this desktop mic pales in comparison to the stock mobile mic. At all distances the stock mic sounds better and is louder to those on the receiving end. Anything further than 12 inches and you can barely be heard. There is no adjustment.
Unfortunately I've had to return both iterations to Buytwowayradio. They have been great about refunding my money.
Wouxun What gives? How could you release a product TWICE knowing that it does not work correctly?

Awesome microphone works really great no need to adjust leave it at factory swtting nice sounding.
