I ordered this as part of a package radio/software/cable deal. Cable feels heavier gauged than most other USB type cable I have come across. Functions as it should. Only issue is that the blocky USB end might be an issue if your USB port is recessed deeper or hard to access.

I would by this product again

The cable that came with the radio had a pirated chip in it and MS fixed it so that cable wouldn't work. This cable works just fine

I used it to program the radio with an HP Elite notebook (Windows Vista) and with an older 450Mz AMD Windows XP computer. Both worked flawlessly.

Excellent product. Works great.

The cable does not work. I installed the driver and at first the program would not match the port. You could not change the port. I was able to change the port after making some research. But then the cable would not read anything. I could not get the program to read and transfer the info from the radio. After that I have been getting a message that there is something wrong wth the cable driver. Don't know what to do. Costs too much to return it and get a replacement.

Excellent no hassle data cable.

Works perfectly and as advertised. Wasn't sure at first because I was not pushing the cable all the way in. :-( Chatted with BuyTwoWayRadios and they quickly resolved the issue. Found out should not be afraid to push the cable in all the way :-) It clicks/snaps in and you know it is connected. Included was the driver CD for Windows 10...did not need it but it is nice to have.
Excellent customer service.

I purchased this cable to add NOAA channels to my KG-805M radios. I was able to do this as well as set up additional channels with pre-programmed PL codes to limit interference on the frequencies I use. After running the included disc to install the drivers on my PC, everything worked like a charm!

So glad I got this with my first KG-805G HT

For the record I'm a newbie, but my Dad was in the Army signal corp and he showed me a lot. So after my purchase of the KB-805G which is great, buy two... No support over the T Day holiday. I used this cable and CHIRP and got radio up and running on the first two cups of coffee. You have to use KG-816 configuration as they or somebody has not configuration for KG-805G yet. Also the small CD does not work for my computer.... send a USB Flash drive next time as who has CD drives anymore or a link for software. Speaking of software I used CHIRP as I use a Mac OS not a PC guy...

So glad I got this with my first KG-805G HT
