  1. Used for paintball review by Mohawk on 10/29/2012
    Rating

Bought this as a trial and it has served me very well. The only thing that is not good is when I need to shift hands to shoot when playing paintball, the finger mic button gets in the way. No complaints from team members about sound quality from the mic (I have an 18 inch neck) so it sits well and catches most vocals.

  2. throat mic with remote PTT review by Dan on 3/16/2012
    Rating

voice quality depends on correct placement of the throat mic. difficulty is the neck wrap around size is at least one inch too short. Probably made for a woman's size neck. Shift off center to get mic in correct position. Fits a little tight on neck, again not big enough for a man's neck. Had to spring open the neck circle a little bit and wear off center. The finger mounted PTT xmitt switch is a good plus for not taking hands off controls while riding. Voice quality is good when mic is in good throat position. Ear piece works well. --Dan--

  3. Unworkable lack of clarity review by Ug the Caveman on 12/2/2011
    Rating

I had high hopes for this item, but was sadly disappointed when we tested it -- I couldn't understand a [*] thing my co-worker said over it! When I thought about it, it made sense, how could a throat pick-up possibly transmit sounds you make with your tongue, like 's' and 't'? Answer: it can't! We quickly found that the English language is unintelligible without those sounds. We tried all sorts of positions and volume settings, but the bottom line was, after it was all said and done, that these are worthless for anything more than an extremely limited set of pre-chosen words, like 'stop', 'go', 'yah' ('yes' doesn't make it across), 'nuh' (can't distinguish 'no' from 'go'.)So if you can get by with caveman grunts, this might work for you, but anything beyond that, forget it.

  4. Very Low Quality Product review by Church Guy on 11/12/2011
    Rating

We used this product during a church production. The room was very loud and we needed to communicate between people. These throat microphones are very low quality and I do not recommend them for anyone unless you are yelling while transmitting. The sound tube works well and you can hear a good transmission clearly as long as they are not using this throat microphone to transmit. I strongly recommend you research a better product if you want something that produces a clear transmission. Purchase at your own risk. You can't return them once they are opened.

  5. IS EASY & SIMPLE review by ARICK on 5/4/2011
