Rino models provide full featured FRS/GMRS radios, and their GPS features are a huge bonus for those
needing radios for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, hunting, skiing and more. Garmin Rino
models also offer a unique feature, which allows you to share your location. Using the GPS, you can locate
all other Rino users on the map - a great way to ensure no one gets lost!
Please be aware that the FCC requires that anyone operating a two way radio
using GMRS frequencies within the United States register for a
GMRS license.

 TWO-WAY RADIO WITH GPS! |
The Garmin Rino 530HCx combines a powerful, waterproof 5 watt FRS/GMRS radio with a full featured hand-held GPS! As a two way radio, the Garmin Rino 530 HCx supports all 22 FRS/GMRS channels, and even supports 8 GMRS repeater frequencies. Hands-free (VOX) use is supported, along with a vibrate mode, voice scrambler, and text messaging.
The Rino 530HCx is loaded with all of the high end GPS features that you would expect from Garmin such as a full color screen, MapSource software, and a TracBack feature that allows you to retrace your path. A high capacity rechargeable lithium battery pack is also provided.
The Garmin 530HCx also provides an electronic compass and barometric altimeter, and it offers NOAA weather channels. You are also able to share your position with other Rino users, making it easy to ensure no one gets lost.
