Good News! Cobra has brought back the original Cobra 148 GTL CB radio with a few modern touchups. It’s back with 80 SSB channels (in addition to 40 standard CB channels), a front microphone connector, dual conversion AM receiver, and PA capability. The 148GTL PA setup provides four watts into the external speaker, which has eight ohms of resistance. It also comes with an impressive 300-2500 Hz frequency response and an automatic noise limiter. Along with a simple control panel, the 148 GTL has an illuminated meter to make it easy to read even in the dark. This product has benefited from the test of time and from modern-day technology. Bottom line, this is a great CB radio, one of the best you can buy.
