Good cable ,poor coupling
I got this mic extension so that I could lengthen my mic cord while in my truck. Did not want to have tension pulling my mic connection from my radio. So first off the cord is awesome. If you dont know , the RJ45 cord wires have a couple wires changed . So that a standard RJ45 cord cannot be used. So if you want to extend either your mic or even your faceplate cord you need to use the Wouxun cord. The coupling provided is garbage. Loose connections so that you cannot rely on using the this cord. However, I had another better quality RJ45 coupling , a standard one. I used it instead of the provided garbage coupling sent with the Mic extension cord. It has a much better connection and no problems. Get the cord if you want to lenghten you mic however, purchase another better quality coupling RJ45 and it should work fine for you. It did for me.
