The Cobra GA-BMIC-B mini boom microphone earpiece is a popular add-on for Cobra two way radios. This mic features a padded foam earpiece that rests against the ear. This earpiece is held in place by a C-ring style plastic earloop that wraps behind the ear. An adjustable boom microphone protrudes from the earloop. The GA-BMIC-B features a small, in-line push-to-talk button and a lapel clip.

Item performs well except when turned to the VOX setting on the COBRA microTALK CXT225. With the VOX setting ON and the sensitivity all the up, the device doesn't appear to transmit. The Push-to-Talk does work, however (with the VOX setting off). Speaker works very well. I'm planning on using this device for hunting purposes, so this item fits the bill perfectly.

Serves the purpose at a high price.

While we are able to use the device on a daily basis with some 20 people in a busy, noisy garden center checkout area, it is not clear why it has to be more expensive than the radio Cobra CXT425 we're using it with, especially with the said disadvantages.
