The Icom CY5300/CY6300 is the second generation of the CY5000 and CY6000 50 Watt analog and digital IDAS repeater series. As with their predecessors, the CY-5300 and CY-6300 are both analog and digital capable. While many repeaters can only work with analog or digital radios, the CY-5300/CY6300 is able to work with both.

The CY-5300/CY6300 is designed to be easy to use and install. This is a Plug and Play repeater that is system scalable to your growing infrastructure needs. The repeater module and power supply are contained in a single, compact housing. The repeater is designed to use out of the box.

The CY-5300/CY6300 is also quite powerful. It's built with the latest IDAS™ UR-FR5300 series repeater module, and includes NXDN™ Simulcast Compatibility. It's available in UHF and VHF versions and can be customized to analog and NXDN™ conventional to NXDN™ conventional voting configurations, single site trunking, multi-site trunking, or NXDN™ conventional simulcast with the optional UC-FR5300 board and CF software cards.

The CY5300/CY6300 has three ethernet connections for IP/remote management/trunking, Silver plated "N"–type bulkhead RF connectors for antennas, DB-25 connector, Terminal screw connector for easy external battery connection, Built-in grounding stud and Heavy duty, temperature controlled 80 CFM cooling fan and power supply, all in a 19” rack mountable chassis. Antenna and duplexer are optional and are not included.
