The Icom IC-91A is a VHF/UHF Dual Band FM Amateur Radio with 5 Watts of power. The 91A has two independent Variable Frequency Oscillator (VFO) bands. VFO A can operate 0.495 MHz to 999.990 MHz (except cellular bands, which are blocked) and VFO B can operate 188MHz to 174 MHz and 350MHz to 470MHz. Add a large dot-matrix display and rich analog features and you have a great amateur radio for ham enthusiasts across the spectrum.

The IC-91A features 1304 alphanumeric memory channels and 26 memory banks. The 91A also offers 16 DTMF autodial memories, built-in CTCSS/DTCS tone codes, Pocket beep alerts and Tone scan to detect sub-audible tones used for repeater access.

The IC-91A is equipped with Icom's wideband PA circuit and a BP-217 Lithium-ion battery pack for up to 5 hours of operating time on VHF band and 4.5 hours on UHF band. A built-in external DC power jack can charge the battery pack and allow you to power the radio when used with an optional external 10-16VDC power supply. You can even run the 91A on two AA alkaline batteries with an optional battery case.
