The Genuine Melowave Overlander ANM-123G is a high gain mobile GMRS antenna with an FME connector and FME to PL259 (UHF) adapter for your GMRS mobile two way radio. The Overlander is specifically tuned for 462MHz frequencies on the GMRS and designed for mobile GMRS two way radios, including the Wouxun KG-XS20G and KG-1000G.
The CFD200 Cable Advantage
The type of coax cable used can cause considerable loss, and the wrong cable can negatively affect performance This is why it is very important to choose the correct cable for the type of antenna you will use. Most mobile radio antenna mounts use RG58 cable, which is fine for use on lower frequency ranges, but doesn't perform as well on higher frequencies like those used by the GMRS.
Melowave brand antenna mounts use CFD200 type cable, which has nearly half the loss of RG58! More power provides better performance, and CDF200 type cable delivers both to your UHF or GMRS antenna.

Well constructed
Looks and works smart. Plan on a really heavy duty mounting point and try and dont forget about ground plane.
When antenna is removed a female pl259 is available and I got a much smaller antenna to mount on for normal driving and save the larger top for out on the woods.

Love this antenna, rugged, amazing SWR, exceptional performance for my mobile GMRS unit. Just wish the coax cable was maybe 12" longer - like I said, just a nit.
Long Range covered..
We we’re 10 vehicles With Gmrs radios on convoy towards redwood national park last weekend and i did test its range. A good 12-15 mile signal reach has been achieved. I would highly recommend this product.
