The Authentic Melowave MTM-1435 is a strong mobile magnetic mount base for your mobile GMRS antenna. The MTM-1435 attaches to the top or trunk of your vehicle with a strong magnet for a secure mount option without drilling holes.
The CFD200 Cable Advantage
The type of coax cable used can cause considerable loss, and the wrong cable can negatively affect performance This is why it is very important to choose the correct cable for the type of antenna you will use. Most mobile radio antenna mounts use RG58 cable, which is fine for use on lower frequency ranges such a VHF, but doesn't perform as well on higher frequencies, like those used by the GMRS.
Melowave brand antenna mounts use CFD200 type cable, which has nearly half the loss of RG58! More power provides better performance, and CDF200 type cable delivers both to your UHF or GMRS antenna.

Nice magmount review by Eric T on 3/31/2024Was pleasantly surprised that the so239 would screw off so as to put cable through much smaller hole ... note to self make sure you screw it back together tight. Great magmount ... have recommended it.

I used this mount to install an outside GMRS antenna on my balcony. What I like about it is that the cable is more sturdy than RG58. I lost count of how many times the balcony door was closed on it. But it is still working just fine (knock on wood). Very low SWR with a Nagoya 5/8 over 5/8 antenna and a Melowave Shadow antenna.

Nice mag mount base but I suggest NOT including them CLOSELY PLACED ON TOP OF OR CLOSE TO A RADIO or other electronic equipment which may have tunable iron core slugs in their I.F. & R.F. stages as well as small "reed relays" that could become magnetized or magnetic fields altered causing them to "stick" or alter their performance. The fields on these mag mounts are TREMENDOUSLY STRONG & extend several inches OR MORE outside of their cardboard boxes perhaps altering the magnetic fields of some nearby electronic components. Magnetic changes to some I.F./R.F. & keying circuits MIGHT (in SOME CASES) affect the performance of the product! I believe that mag mount bases should be well spaced inside the MIDDLE of a cardboard box in an effort to retain as much of the strong magnetic field WITHIN the box and away from other equipment. Not something normally considered, but perhaps it should be! I prefer to receive my new radios as close to factory aligned as possible - SHIPPERS cause enough "detuning" by "drop kicking" everything from the factory to our doorsteps!
