i would not buy this again
they dont last more then 3 hr. and i only turn the radio on. some times we dont use them to talk and still the Batters run down .
Service was fast and easy
I use my two radios to keep a tab on the kids and being able to contact them, if I need them to come home or many other reasons.
I would not buy again.

For the cost and service - worth the effort
The batteries and the Motorola's have proven to be reliable over a number of years. Yes, some of the batteries seem to discharge a little faster than others. Overall, I've been happy with them - other than the one that dropped out of my son's pocket and into our pond. Rescue and resuscitation were not successful. Buy Two Way Radios were VERY helpful, when in error I ordered the wrong ones. Exchange and swap were well handled.
