I,Bought This Antenna For My KG -S88G Wouxun Hand Held GMRS Radio,Since I,Have A Nagoya 771-G ,Antenna On It,This Short Nagoya Antenna Works Great,And It Doesn't Get In My Way,But If I Want ToGo For Distance I,LL Get Its Big Brother Back On It ,The 771-G,Nagoya Both Of These Naogy Antennas Are Worth Your Money And Perform Great As Well.
Concerned about authenticity
I am concerned if this is a knock off black market antenna or the real deal. I wonder because the base of the antenna has a sticker on it with the name and model. Original ones I've seen on the Internet have it printed directly on the base rather than a sticker. Also any slight bend on the antenna causes it to stay bent. I then have to bend it back the other direction to make it straight again. I'm talking by the base of the antenna. It seems to work ok, but I'm concerned that this is not a genuine antenna from Nagoya.
Nagoya 701G antenna
purchased 2 Nagoya 701G antennas for my wife's and I Wouxun KG905G GMRS radios and they work great!...adds more coverage and a little more "miles" when my wife's on her mountain bike and I'm monitoring her where-abouts. Can't beat the performance, and the price from Buy Two way Radios!!!
Authentic Nagoya? I don't know about that....
Every other Nagoya antenna I have has the logo printed directly onto the base in a silver color ink. These have stickers on them instead. I am highly suspicious of their "authenticity". The packaging is also slightly different from every other Nagoya antenna I have purchased. My Spidey senses are tingling....
Looks Fake
Bought 2 of these & both look fake & definitely not worth the money. Looks like a cheap Temu antenna.
Does not seem authentic
Considering they were on clearance I guess I can't complain. My other genuine Nagoya antennas have the logo printed directly on the antenna. These just have a sticker that says "Nagoya". I would have saved the money if I thought they might not be real. They do seem to work ok but I have not tested in the field. Will probably leave them home anyway now.
Nagoya 701g 5.5"
Seem to work fine but what's up with the sticker?
Not what it is.....Authentic or Not you make the call....
I bought several of these based on buytwowayradios selling good products. I can not stand behind these antennas. I tested them all (with a sticker, not direct printing) and they all heated my radios up very fast and the signal report was nowhere near my printed Nagoya antenna report. I wasted one antenna to take it apart and there was very little proof inside that it was made correctly. Testing with an SWR meter(which isn't that good of a test on a HT) and all of them were in the 2.5 - 3+ SWR range and caused the radio to cut back on power. A stock antennas tested at 1.4 with the same radio.
