Works OK as a scanner antenna
I bought a NA-810 (BNC version) to use on my GRE and Uniden handheld scanners. Given that it is a stubby antenna, there are limitations in terms of performance. Despite this, it seems to work better on VHF than UHF. I was able to hear strong, local, and even moderate VHF signals just fine. UHF is a different story. You MUST be close to the source if you want to hear anything. Also does a decent job on airband frequencies. Overall, it's nothing special since it is not the best performer, but is very convenient if you carry your handheld around.
Good product - Great price
I user at work for UHF radios. They are compact and very flexible.
Great tiny antenna
I bought this to make the transition from my Base antenna in my home to my mounted antenna in car. Since then ive actually used it far more than anticipated. Great for going to store while monitoring frequencies. I recommend it!
Nagoya NA-810 Stubby Antenna
The 810 is a great stubby antenna. I bought them for my kids to use on their Baofeng UV-5X GMRS radios so they wouldn’t end up destroying the king stick antennas. It receives the FM stations very well, which is important to my kids so they can listen to their music, and they get a decent distance on transmitting and receiving. The only range test we did was at 1/2 mile through hilly terrain and the signal was strong on high power. I was very happy with the purchase and price. Amazon was charging $16 for the same antenna.
