Ok, not great.
I was expecting a noticeable improvement over the stock 4” tall antenna that came with my Midland MXT275 but I can’t even tell the difference in reception. I don’t think it really does too much.
Good antenna
Have nothing to compare it to but ....the SWR on it is very good 1.15 and the reception is clear....mount is very sturdy
Great all-in-one antenna
If you’re looking for an antenna that already has a magnetic base and cord already pre-attached this is the one. Genuine Nagoya and it works perfect out of the box. Just stick on the car roof, plug it in and you are good to go. SWR was around 1.3 for me.
Excellent small magnet mount GMRS antenna
Pre-tuned or GMRS frequencies and has an adapter with it to connect to a KG-805G or KG-905G handheld.

Great product
Worked great right out of the box. No need for swr meter, it's already tuned to gmrs frequencies.
Not for me
I compared this Nagoya antenna to the Midland brand which I already own. Sadly the Nagoya was (at least for me) an outright reject. I have other Nagoya antennas that are just fine. Either way - the Nagoya was not for me.

I purchased these because of a review in Youtube where it seemed to come out on top and because it includes the Magnetic mount. I have noticed an improvement to be able to talk to people that I was not able to before with the rubber duck. Not sure how much of an improvement otherwise. But I like the solid build and magnet.

Not being satisfied with the performance of the previous GMRS antennas I have already purchased tried, I thought I would just give up and not try another one. Then I decided to order the Nagoya UT-72G from BuyTwoWayRadios and give it a try. Delivery was very quick.
The minute I connected the Nagoya UT-72G to my Wouxun KG-XS20G (which I love because of it's form factor), I started reaching some repeaters I wasn't able to reach with my previous GMRS antennas.
I highly recommend the Nagoya UT-72G GMRS Antenna.

Great antenna to add to a HT
Adding this antenna easily doubled my range on my HT. Also can receive from much further away. Definitely added some fars
