  17. Baofeng UV5, 5 and 9's all the way review by Steve on 7/8/2015
    Rating

I purchased this radio kit as a starter for VHF and UHF. I read many reviews, both positive and negative. I have to say that it is a great little radio that accommodates many accessories. In addition to the extra's that came with the kit I purchased a Tram VHF/UHF antenna for my vehicle and a microphone. I just received my Tech license and had my first contact last night through a repeater 7 miles away. I was 5 and 9's on about 4 watts. It's easy to manually program. Great radio at a great price. The support I received from the live chat was professional and informative.
