Ordering the part and installing myself
Not remembering where I purchased the radio, and too lazy to dig through my records, I asked Buy Two-Way Radio’s if I could purchase the antenna connector from them. It turns out I did not buy the radio from them so the manufacturers offer to replace free of charge did not apply to me. The part and shipping came to about $8. The part arrived in less than a week and it took all of 15 minutes to remove the damaged one and install the new. There are a couple of UTube videos that walked me through the disassembly and assembly-I chose the easier one that did not have you separating the “stacked” circuit boards. (I didn’t find it necessary if you use solder wick braid to collect the melted solder, not allowing it to drip onto the underlying circuit board.)

This fit in the MS2017 just fine.
I desoldered the pin from the old one .
Used a toothpick to keep the hole open. Then slid in the new one. I'm back on the air.
