Disappointed
I’m very disappointed with the cable I’ve tried to now, and very disappointed with the THTTHUV 88 radio software has not successfully installed nor does the software seem to function correctly or properly without multiple errors. At this point the THT radio it’s not a radio I would recommend to anyone

I just received the programming cable and mini cd today. They did not come with any instructions so now the radio is just a funny-looking paper weight.

What's Not To Like
Cable arrived very fast & works.
Perfect.
No issues.
Works with KG-805G and Chirp
This is one of the only cables I've noticed that works with the KG-805G so you can program it in Chirp. When in Chirp, use the radio KG-816 in the dropdown menu and you're off the races!
No Comms
Could not get the chip inside to show up as a comm instead of a USB device so couldn't get CHIRP to work. RT systems has yet to fail me, so I ordered theirs.

Shipping was fast. The cable works as it should. I downloaded the software from the website.
Works, except on Windows 11 - but there is a workaround
This unit has a PL2303TA USB to Serial chip, which is not supported by the manufacturer on Windows 11. The workaround is to obtain and install an older driver, Mali g sure that Wi does actually uses that driver and not the placeholder driver, which says “I don’t work on Win11”.
