Great replacement antenna for the KG-805 UHF handheld portable radio.
Backup antenna
I bought this antenna as a backup. I have had the occasion of having an HT radio on my hip and closing the antenna in a car door and breaking the antenna. This antenna is shorter than the provided antenna, but functions appropriately on all frequencies. Because it is shorter, it does not have the power out as it could if longer. But as a backup it will perform and give you a good signal out. One should keep transmissions shorter so as not to heat up the radio with this shorter antenna on board.
