It's about time!
It's about time they came out with a USB-C battery for my KG-805G. The charging stations were a real hassle whenever I took this radio out of town with me. Now I can charge it anywhere and power it in my car with ease! My only gripe is that the battery is considerably heavier and thicker than the stock battery, but you do get a lot more juice out of it. I just wish they had a USB-C version of the original, lightweight battery too.

...for recharging in the car, for longer use between charges, and for charging when camping, hiking, or in a grid down situation. But you knew that, eh?
Upgrade battery for KG-UV6D
This battery replacement for my old KG-UV6D radios provides extra capacity and USB-C charging. The battery is bigger and so it can't be charged in the 120-volt cradle while attached to the radio; it must be detached. However, since it can be charged via USB-C cable, the cradle is now redundant. Good price, too.
Love it and the 805g..keep in my truck and can now easily charge it overnight.
Adds a little bulk but use the 805 with handheld Mic so really not an issue.
