Needs glue and shrink wrap
Much like the CCO-002 vehicle charger cable this one suffers from a poor connection at the cable strain relief. A little super glue fixes it right up. The plastic USB enclosure that house the 5v to 12v conversion components also seems a bit flimsy and makes creaking noises if you apply the slightest torsion to it. Again some super glues along the seems and bit of shrink wrap and a heat gun and it is much improved. Should now be reliable to allow charging the radio from a USB battery bank.

In 12-hour workdays if I forget to recharge the night before, well good luck making it through another 12-hour day when heavy transmits. If one has this safeguard at lunch break this will change in it base on the go.
