Using it for road guard Communication

Very pleased so far. I use a Motorola mic ‘daily’. It hefty and gives me a similar feel. Good audio.

Mike works, what more could be said. Customer service was great, took care of my issue.

BOUGHT 8 OF THESE, AND 3 OF THEM STOPPED WORKING WITHIN A MONTH. THEY ARE NOT WATERPROOF AS ADVISED!

I bought two of the Wouxun SMO-006 Waterproof Speaker Microphones, and I'm not very impressed with the quality. The volume output is pretty low, and the unit feels cheap.

I have 12 HT type radios, 6 are Motorola, 3 Yaesu, 2 Veryex, and 2 Icom all with speaker mikes, and now a Wouxun KG-935 GMRS with a speaker mike. Gotta luv it. But I was mountain topping with my new Wouxun at 4200 feet and spoke with a gentleman on GMRS almost 70 miles away on a clear windy day and he was at 3600 feet elevation. I used my new speaker mike and was told I was weak but readable. Groovy Baby!!!

I’m using this mic with the Wouxun KG905G HT. The mic and the clip feel stout, the sound is clear and the PTT switch seems to be high quality as well. Radio reports I receive are modulation is very good. Sometimes waterproof mics will muffle the sound but that does not appear to be the case with this one. The attachment to the radio on the side port is secure. I would highly recommend one of these for your HT. Moreover, customer service at buytwowayradios.com is superb.
