Easy Installation of PTT Cover
The PTT covers are well designed. They are easy to snap into place, and function as desired.
Easy
Must of damaged the old one because it would not stay in place, and lost it somewhere. Guess I'm such a "GMRS Poweruser" I wore it out LOL! This replacement just snapped right into place no problem. Quite happy.
Good as New
The old one was torn (I think someone mistook it for the headphone jack on the other side).
The new one was super simple to install. I didn't really have to open the radio. Just used my little green screwdriver and pried off the little hard plastic piece around the button. It came off along with the torn rubber piece. The new piece consists of both the hard plastic piece and the rubber piece. So even if I had broken the old hard plastic piece during removal, it wouldn't have mattered since it came with a new one.
