Rugged, Good Value
I chose this earpiece to run with my speaker mic. I wanted an earpiece to wear under earmuffs (attached to an arborist helmet), was sturdy enough for rough outdoor use, and would actually stay on my ear. I will be the first one to admit that the D-ring is not very comfortable compared to a C-ring or an earbud, but this will absolutely stay solidly on the ear compared to those other two. I've used this while running a chainsaw and going fast on an ATV and it stays on no matter what. The wire ends are also reinforced which makes me think this will last quite a while.
I feel like I should also mention this: the sound quality is decent enough, but please be careful about volume settings while using this. I run this plugged into a XLT speaker mic, which is then plugged into a KG-805G; I need to turn the radio's volume down almost to 0, otherwise it's very loud. This earpiece doesn't require much gain to be VERY loud if you need it to be.
