The Baofeng UV-5G is the GMRS version of the classic UV-5R, with 30 GMRS pre-programmed channels and 11 NOAA channels. This is an economical radio that's extremely compact. With up to 12 hours of battery life, the UV-5G is a good choice for GMRS radio operators who need mobility at the lowest cost.
The UV-5G features 128 programmable channels with channel scanning, dual watch and CTCSS/DCS scan. Other features include 65-108Mhz FM radio, DTMF code, Dual display switch and 154 privacy code (50 CTCSS and 104 DCS). The UV-5G also features built-in VOX (Voice Operated Transmit) for hands-free operation and a high illumination flashlight.
The Baofeng UV 5G has up to 5W of power and is powered by 1800mAh Li-Ion battery pack for up to 12 hours (approx.) of operation. A battery save feature helps conserve power until it is needed.
The Baofeng UV-5G comes with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack, belt clip, removable antenna, C-ring earpiece with in-line PTT microphone, drop-in battery charger, AC adapter, wrist strap, owner's manual and a one year manufacturer warranty from Baofeng.
