The Icom F70/F80 Two Way Radio Series is made for first responders. This is a powerful, sophisticated transceiver with 256 channels and 32 zones capable of 4 watts UHF and 5 watts VHF. The F70T /F80T is analog upgradeable to P25, while the the F70D / F80D is APCO Project 25 (P25) conventional ready to be interoperable with other P25 digital radios in conventional mode. The F70D /F80D is compatible with both analog FM and P25 digital modes, making it a naturally smart choice for your migration to P25 digital.

The F70/F80 Series is equipped with a feature set any professional responder would want, such as the ability to decode up to 10 2-Tone and 8 5-Tone codes on a single memory channel, CTCSS, DTCS, and BIIS built-in capability, a full dot-matrix LCD display, programmable keys, built-in audio compander, normal and priority scans, wide and narrow channel spacing, stun/kill function (analog mode), built-in inversion voice scrambler (analog mode), tactical group function and 500mW audio output. The F70/F80 also features built-in VOX and free form short text messaging.

There are also options. The F70 and F80 radios can accept an optional Man Down Unit (UT-124R), non-rolling voice scrambler unit (UT-109), rolling voice scrambler (UT-110), DSP unit (UT-120), and optional AES/DES encryption with EX-2785 (for DES) and EX-2785 J03 (for AES) activation software. A full DTMF keypad is also optional.

The IC-F70 / IC-F80 Series is also quite prepared for a first response. It's Mil STD 810-F ready and IP57 dustproof, waterproof and submersible in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The F70/F80 Series is also available in an FM approved, Intrinsically Safe (IS) version for use in potentially hazardous environments.

The Icom F80/F70 Series P25 Two Way Radio comes with a Li-ion battery pack, belt clip, removable antenna and a two year manufacturer warranty. Desktop or Multi-Charger sold separately.
