  2. Needa volume increase? review by Larry the cable guy on 6/21/2011

For those who like these headsets but say the volume is too low I have the solution. [@] sells a small amplifier that will quadruple (4X) the volume output of the GMRS radio. All you need a pair of adapters and one cable and you'll be set.

Most all GMRS radios have a low volume output so when used with a headset at speed they aren't loud enough. The solution is a tiny amplifier called the "Boost-a-Roo" which will increase the output volume of the radio FOUR TIMES (4X). Buy one, add an adapter cable and bam!

  4. GXT1050VP4 Worthless with AVP-H2 review by MPalevo on 3/27/2011
    Rating

Bought two Midland GXT1050VP4 radios and two AVP-H2 Motorcycle headsets. Headsets are great, but radio has built in Maximum Volume so low that all this equipment is useless. Have two Scooters that are quiet, yet could not hear a thing from other rider over 20 mph. [$] worth of nice equipment is useless. Sent back to Midland, and they can't do anything. So, I just ate [$] worth of junk!!
