The Midland GXT3000 takes the ever popular GXT1000 to the next level! This GMRS radio adds repeater capability, long battery life and more at a price that won't hurt your wallet. Whether working on the farm, riding on the trail, or walking through the neighborhood, this value pack includes everything you need to to be your go-to portable handheld walkie talkie.
The Midland GXT-3000 supports 22 standard GMRS channels and 28 preset privacy code channels. It also has 8 repeater channels. Each standard channel supports 38 CTCSS tones, 104 DCS codes and 143 group codes, for a total of 285 privacy codes.
The GXT-3000 is also a weather radio, with 10 NOAA weather channels and Midland's Advanced Weather Channel Scan. If severe weather or a civil emergency is entering your area, the GXT-3000 can alert you!
The GXT3000 retains the key feature set of the GXT1000 model, such as VOX Hands-free operation with 9 sensitivity levels, dual channel watch, selectable high, medium and low power modes, Whisper Talk, and silent operation. It also has features channel scan and Dual Watch Pro scan. The GXT-3000 also has 10 selectable call alert tones, vibrate alert, and an SOS siren. Top to things off, it adds a built-in flashlight.
The GXT-3000 is JIS4 water resistant and durable. This radio is designed to be used in all types of weather! The Midland GXT3000VP4 is also certified lead free. A 3 year warranty is also provided by the manufacturer on this model.

The VERY VERY BEST GMRS HANDHELD RADIO'S MIDLAND EVER MADE GET A PAIR FOR YOUR GMRS NEEDS YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!! BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GMRS LISCENSE FIRST ITS SO WORTH IT & EASY TO OBTAIN ONE FROM THE FCC!!!????????????????
Excellent Quality
I haven't been out much but I am picking up signals that I know are about 3 miles away behind me from a higher elevation and built-up area, picking up signals from what sounds like school crossing guards on channel 8. That's a low power FRS channel and the radio is receiving those signals. The receive is as good as the transmit. The option for using double AA batteries is a bonus in case the rechargeable pack runs down. Good for transmitting between two cars, saving money otherwise spent on cellphone service.
Trapping/hunting
Got these so I can communicate with our kids when we go trapping and when we go hunting. They work well and have been very clear. We use them in a large forest and they’ve served their purpose. The kids understand how to use them as well.

SO CLEAR ON TRANSMIT & RECEIVE!!! BUT MAKE SURE YOU GET A GMRS LISCENSE FIRST BEFORE USING UNLESS YOU ARE JUST USING CHANNEL'S 8-14 BUT IT IS CERTAINLY WORTH GETTING YOUR LISCENSE & EASY TO GET FROM THE FCC & YOU GET YOU'RE OWN CALLSIGN WHICH YOU & YOU'RE WHOLE IMMEDIATE FAMILY CAN USE SO SO WORTH IT!!!
